With the Olympic Games officially coming to Los Angeles, we wanted to know what UCLA Extension students do to keep their minds and bodies ready to perform. So, in between classes we asked: What do you do to stay healthy?
Here's what some of our students had to say:
Janet Zhu
Favorite Olympic Sport: Swimming & Tennis
"For physical health, I just go outside and touch the grass. For mental health, I have communication with family members."
Vincent Maurer
Favorite Olympic Sport: Swimming
"I recently picked up swimming again. Just in the public swimming pool or at the beach."
Lennard Fricke
Favorite Olympic Sport: Golf
"I got back into running because I live just south of Runyon Canyon. I also like playing golf and going to the gym."
Alexander Peskador
Favorite Olympic Sport: I don't watch sports
"I think amusement really helps. I particularly like going to the vinyl record store. Jogging is also fine for cleaning up my chakras."
Hanna Frieda Lange
Favorite Olympic Sport: Tennis
"I like to cook, even after a really long day. I like to prepare a really good meal or travel."
Hanrun Jin
Favorite Olympic Sport: Ping Pong
"Get enough sleep."
