Dozens of UCLA Extension alumni gathered to ring in the holiday season and reflect on a year of professional growth.

The Second Annual UCLA Extension Alumni Holiday Mixer took place on Dec. 12 at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center on campus. Alumni enjoyed drinks and food while reminiscing on a busy 2025 and looking ahead to an even better 2026.

“It’s been wonderful to get to know all of you,” said Nisha Chauhan-McGrath, director of UCLA Extension Alumni Relations. “You all really represent the heart of our UCLA Extension community, and it is our pleasure to provide these spaces so you can connect back with us and especially with each other.”

UCLA Extension Alumni events have been taking place on a quarterly basis since the program began two years ago. There are approximately 80,000 members of the UCLA Extension alumni community, who are also part of the more than 670,000 who make up the greater Bruin alumni family.

“Every event shows we are growing. We see more people. We see new faces,” Chauhan-McGrath said, reflecting on the year. “And now we are in a place where we also see a lot of friendly faces – folks who have been at almost every single one of our events.”

She concluded with a promise to make 2026 even better and to cherish the community built already.

“I’m proud of this group,” she said. “We like to help each other, support each other and celebrate each other.”
