NOTE: Bruin Giving Day is now closed, but you still have the opportunity to support UCLA Extension. Stay tuned for more opportunities, and please contact our Interim Director of Development Nisha Chauhan-McGrath if you have any questions or want to have a more substantive conversation about giving.
For the first time, UCLA Extension will participate in a campuswide donation drive: the inaugural UCLA Bruin Giving Day.
Bruin Giving Day takes place on April 29 to 30, with early bird donations starting at 5 p.m. on April 28. Supporters are encouraged to give, which can earn them a special UCLA tote bag, and post on social media to join in the fun highlighting UCLA Extension. Giving on the site closes at 12 a.m., May 1.
“UCLA Extension is committed to meeting the evolving needs of our students and community, especially in a constantly changing economy. Bruin Giving Day gives our alumni and supporters an opportunity to help us stay at the forefront of continuing and professional education, furthering academic innovation and impact in Los Angeles and beyond. UCLA Extension’s mission is centered on access and excellence, and donations on Bruin Giving Day will enable us to fulfill that mission now and into the future,” UCLA Extension Dean Eric Bullard said.
For more information, please visit the UCLA Bruin Giving Day FAQ. There are several unique ways to contribute:
Innovation Fund
This fund will provide direct and immediate support to UCLA Extension’s greatest needs. When you give to the Innovation Fund, you are ensuring that whatever UCLA Extension’s greatest priorities are at any time – programming, events, technology – that is where your gift will be allocated.
Scholarship Fund
This fund supports UCLA Extension scholarships generally. When you give to the Scholarship Fund, your dollars will be allocated to new and existing scholarship opportunities, with an emphasis on allowing UCLA Extension to be accessible to students in need without it being cost prohibitive. Most of these scholarships support students on a certificate track who are making a pivot in their career and advancing professionally.
Specific Programs and Scholarships
If you desire to donate to a specific program or scholarship that you have previously benefitted from or are just focused on supporting, UCLA Extension is also offering lists of individual programs and scholarships.
